  1. Screener, Household Roster, and Non-resident Roster Questionnaire
    1. YOUTH Roster includes information specific to the NLSY97 eligible youth as well as some data about the youth's parents collected from the household informant.
      1. Youth Questionnaire
        • The YOUTH Roster is transferred into the youth interview. Some youth-specific information is verified and updated, while other data are used to direct the flow of the interview.
        • The YEMP Roster is created during the youth interview and contains data on the youth's employers.
        • The BIOCHILD Roster is created during the youth interview, with some data from the HHI2 Roster, and contains data on the youth's biological children.
      2. YOUTH Roster also contributes to 1.b.i. Parent Questionnaire
    2. HHI2 Roster includes information, mainly demographic data, on each member of the youth's household collected from the household informant.
      1. Parent Questionnaire
        • The PARYOUTH Roster contains information from the YOUTH Roster that is transferred into the parent interview. Some information is verified and updated, while other data are used to direct the flow of the interview.
        • The PARHHI Roster contains information from the HHI2 Roster that is transferred into the parent interview. Some information is verified and updated, while other data are used to direct the flow of the interview.
    3. NONHHI Roster includes information on members of the youth's biological family, who do not live in the youth's household, collected from the household informant.
