Attachment 100: Census Bureau State and County Codes
Attachment 100: Census Bureau State and County Codes
This attachment provides coding information for the state and county variables included on the NLSY97 geocode CD. These variables use the current Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) codes. For Rounds 1-7, these variables used the 1990 Census codes. Beginning in Round 8, the 2000 codes were used. There are very few changes between the two systems. This attachment presents the 2000 codes, and it also notes changes from the 1990 system where appropriate.
