Errata for NLSY97 Round 14 Release

Recent Corrections and Changes to the NLSY97 data

1) PUBID and INTERVIEW variables on NEWSCHOOL roster – Rounds 3 through 13

A number of edits across nearly all rounds were made to these variables. Many colleges and a few highschools were incorrectly identified as newly reported schools in the respondents’ school histories. The edits were made to provide the correct pubid and round that the school was first reported. The following number of edits were made to these variables:

A review of the school identifiers on the NEWSCHOOLD_ roster uncovered some high schools that were listed as new to the respondent rather than a school the respondent attended in an earlier round. These corrections caused the updates to the following number of schools attended variables:
