The samples included 4,210 Ss (aged 12-18 yrs) from NLSY97 and 3,831 Ss (aged 15-23 yrs) from NLSY79. Cross-sectional gender and racial patterns were also explored. It was found that a nontrivial proportion of the youths interviewed committed various antisocial acts and that the patterns of participation varied by race and gender and type of activity. While there were some differences in racial patterns between NLSY79 and NLSY97, the overall findings were consistent. Indices reflecting the volume and the severity of antisocial activity, and the percentage of males who participated in antisocial activity are appended.
